Why do things never go the way we plan?
So, as of last week we were planning on selling both of our cars and getting one new one. Then Friday night we decided to sell my car and keep Mitch's car. But because we were planning on selling Mitch's, we hadn't bothered to renew his registration. What's the point if we were selling it anyway? But, obviously, once we decided to keep it, it became a mad dash to register it-- TODAY. (Not today. But TODAY as in the day this story happened.) No big deal right?
Well, he had to do Safety and Emissions this year so we took it in Saturday morning and it passed the Emissions test but it was
Aren't there nicer ways of saying that? Like, "We're very sorry but, your vehicle did not meet the state requirements of the Safety Test." "Please make the recommended repairs and try again." Or something.
Anyway. So we spent a bunch of Saturday trying to find somewhere to look at our brakes now so that we could take the car back and have it retested in time for us to reregister the car before September 1st.
In the end, the back brake needed to be realigned and cleaned a bit in order to pass the safety test. Glad that was such a big deal.

BRUTAL!!! I hate car problems. We have a terrible curse that says every time we move, our car MUST break down. Yes, 10 times. 10 lovely times.
Ok, but I have to tell you how GREAT you would be in El Ed. Seriously? I don't know if you got my note last night, but Kya told me "terrible terrible news." That her friend Jessica has been missing from church. You make such an impact on their sweet little lives!
So then come back and teach out here, K? WE COULD REALLY USE YOU!
