Update!

Remember the whole "lots of our stuff was ruined in the move" situation?

WELL.

So, I submitted a claim.

Last week the moving company emailed me back and basically told me to shove off.

I emailed them back Monday night and pointed out a contradiction in the logic they based denying our claim on.

They emailed me back today and made us an offer.

I accepted said offer.
