The Visit to Idaho

After we got back from our honeymoon, we went up to Idaho to visit Tracy and Freddy (my sister and brother-in-law) since we weren't going to be able to move into our new apartment until the 31st and we didn't want to go out to San Francisco earlier than we had to. (What an ordeal that was. More about that later.) We figured we might as well since that was probably the only time we'd get to see their apartment and them. We went up Friday (January 18th) afternoon and stayed until Monday (January 21st) morning.

Tracy was so cute. Nobody has really ever come up to visit her so she had the whole entire weekend planned out. She even planned the menus for all of our meals with what she calls her "Show Off Recipes" (the ones that ALWAYS turn out right).

We got to go tour the Rexburg temple while we were there. It was beautiful. They've done all of the inside in light greens and yellows and the really light colored wood. It was kind of interesting though because they built the whole thing up rather than out. I swear there are like fifty-five stories. (Okay, like five.) Still though, really pretty. They also had what I'd like to refer to as "The Best Cookies of My Entire Life (Not Including the Vons Cookies)" at the open house

Tracy also had us go tour "Destination Inn" in Idaho Falls. They have like, oh, ten? twelve? different suites that are all decorated like different cities around the world. It was neat. After that, we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. There's one by the South Towne Mall but, I'd never been. It was really, really good so, everyone should go to the one in Sandy.

Other things:
- We went to the Barbershop Concert at BYU-I and that was fun. Mitch's cousin was actually in it too.
- We went to Tracy and Freddy's married ward on Sunday. Um, there were more babies than I could count. Tracy said someone has a baby like every week. Wow. Also, I was proud that Tracy was one of the cutest girls in her ward. Good job.
- On our way in to Rexburg we discovered that they had a Frontier Pies restaurant. That didn't mean anything to me but, Mitch grew up near one that closed down and apparently they have to die for blueberry and sour cream pies. So we got a raspberry pie for T&F and took a blueberry and sour cream one home to M's family.

Anyway, we had fun with them. And they had fun with us. And it snowed like, nine inches or something crazy after we left. Whew. Missed that one.
