New York City -- Day 8

Saturday we tried to keep things a little bit more low key. We had a few more things we wanted to do in New York and we were excited Gabe and Aubrey had the day off so that they could spend more time with us.

First we stopped by the Manhattan Temple...

We'd originally planned on going to doing a session or something but when it came down to it, it just didn't end up working out.

Once we'd seen the temple (and Julliard across the street!), we wandered over to Central Park. Mitch and I had seen a tiny bit of it the day before but not nearly enough to count it. Besides, Central Park is WAY more awesome on Saturday. There's so much to do and see!

We mostly just walked around and listened to lots of the performers but we also went to the lake behind us. And we rented a row boat!

We each took a turn rowing.

After that, we wandered over to a salsa concert in Central Park. It was fun but by then Mitch and I were more interested in sitting in the shade. OH! And before the concert, I had my first Central Park hot dog!

They're actually really good!

We had one more stop--Serendipity. The restaurant from the movie.

We wanted to have dessert there but there was an HOUR wait. Apparently it's absolutely worth the hour but, we didn't have it. So instead we ended up at Dylan's Candy Bar again. Love that place.

And after that, we went home. Well, to Gabe and Aubrey's home.
